Inuyama's tengu is the oldest surviving model in Japan. The castle is located on top of a hill, so the view from the top of the castle is beautiful! Below Inuyama Castle is the old town and the magnificent Kiso River. You can enjoy a 360-degree panoramic view from here. If the weather is good, you can see Mt. Gokyo and Gifu Castle in the distance, as well as the skyscrapers in front of Nagoya Station.

Dinner: Nagoya Specialty Eel Rice

The three flavors of eel over rice are popular among overseas tourists.
The special feature of Furuya's eel rice is that the eel is sliced finely, and the eel rice is served with an empty bowl, green onions and ginger, and is divided into four servings.
Cut the center of the eel rice into crosses and divide the rice into four portions.
The first bowl of rice with eel cap is served straight.
Add wasabi, green onion, ginger and seaweed to the second bowl. Because of the seasoning, another flavor spreads to your mouth immediately.
The third bowl is made with the tea provided by the restaurant to make unagi chawanmushi (rice made with eel tea), with the fresh flavor of the tea, and served with the pickles provided.
The fourth bowl is flavored according to your personal taste. You can eat the eel rice directly or add seasoning and tea to taste the beauty of eel rice!

Enjoy Nagoya at NightRecommended Nightscape Attractions

There are also many places to visit in the streets of Nagoya at night. The area around Sakae Station has a high concentration of night spots and various stores, so if you have some time in the evening, why not take a stroll through Nagoya's romantic night scenery?

In Sakae, you can see an eye-catching building in the shape of a TV tower, which is the landmark of Nagoya and is loved by the Nagoya locals. In May 2021, the name of the tower was changed to Chubu Electricity Mirai Tower, and the tower protects the streets of Nagoya day and night.
From the 90-meter-high observation deck, you can enjoy the night view of Nagoya, which is recognized as one of Japan's Night Scenery Heritage. You can experience a different kind of night view with mirrors installed on the patio and at the foot of the observation deck, and of course, you can also experience the stunning image and sound effects through the stereoscopic projection technology.

There are restaurants, grocery stores, clothing stores and food stores in the Mirai Tower Shimokyuya-dori Park. The neon lights on the miraitower and the water fountains in the center of the shopping street make it a dreamy and charming landscape!

A strange round object like an unidentified flying object near Mirai Tower is called “Oasis 21”, a three-dimensional park. The glass-roofed part of the building shown in the photo is called “Aqua Space Ship”, and there is an open underground plaza under the roof.
You can walk freely on the glass roof, and there is a loop around the outside as if you are walking in the air at a height of 14 meters. In the middle of the roof, water flows out like a wedding gown, and the sound of the water and the waves give you a very healing feeling. Don't forget to take a picture of this famous internet spot in Nagoya.

A beautiful Japanese garden! Tokugawa-en

When it comes to the history of Aichi Prefecture, the Tokugawa family is a must. Tokugawa-en is a Japanese-style garden in the form of a pond surrounded by springs, which is popular as the remains of the Tokugawa family's residence in Owari.

Tokugawa-en has a total area of about 7,000 tsubo, and it reproduces the scenery of the natural environment by utilizing the features of the terrain, such as the mountains of the castle with a rich sense of three-dimensionality, the waterfalls and streams of Osogane, Lake Ryusen, the peony garden, and the Aoi paddy fields, etc. It is a garden that condenses the Owari-area into a single scene.

No matter what season you come to the garden, the seasonal colors of the plants will decorate the garden, so you can feel the beauty of the four seasons in the Japanese garden.

Uncovering the source of the Toyota Group's technology! Toyota Industrial Technology Memorial Center

If someone asks you what is the Japanese company that can represent Japan? Many people would say Toyota! Toyota City in Aichi Prefecture is the home of the Toyota Group.
The Toyota Industrial Technology Memorial Hall is located at the birthplace of the Toyota Group, where the Toyota Group's Taisho era OEM factory was located, and was established to preserve the corporate culture and effectively utilize the former factory site.
The museum is divided into the “Fiber Machinery Museum” and the “Automobile Museum,” where fiber machinery and automobiles are both part of the Toyota Group's path of industrial technological change. The museum displays old machines of the era in which they were actually used, and you can see the old machines in action and listen to the narrator's introduction while actually operating them.
