If you want to travel to Osaka, it is recommended to go there from Kansai International Airport. We would like to introduce you to two shopping centers, Namba City and Namba Parks, which are both accessible by the limited express train "Rapi:t" from Kansai International Airport, and where you are welcome to experience a large number of popular stores in Japan.

We will also provide detailed information on how to get to these two shopping centers from the airport as a reference for your trip to Osaka.

Nankai Dentetsu “Namba Station” is conveniently located directly from Kansai Airport Station!

Kansai International Airport (KIX) is the gateway to Osaka. There are about 50 restaurants, including Japanese restaurants, and 7 souvenir stores in the airport, so you can spend a whole day shopping here! The airport is famous for being the world's first maritime airport to be built on an artificial island, and the ceiling of the airport is filled with white sails, creating a special atmosphere.

The purpose of this trip was to go shopping in Osaka! So, we made Namba our first stop.

If you are traveling from Kansai International Airport to Nankai Dentetsu “Namba Station”, the limited express train “Rapi:t” is a convenient choice. With a maximum speed of 120km/h, the Rapi:t is an airport express train that runs directly between Nankai Namba Station and Kansai Airport Station. All seats on the train are reserved, and there are luggage and wheelchair areas.

The second floors of the airport buildings are directly connected to the Rapi:t platforms, so you can avoid getting lost by following the signs. The Nankai Dentetsu and JR ticket gates are adjacent to each other, so if you are going to Nankai “Namba Station,” you should use the orange ticket gate.

Tickets to Namba Station can be purchased at the window near the ticket gate, and there is no need to transfer.
Ticket counters are also equipped with lists in four languages (Japanese, English, Chinese, and Korean) so that travelers who are concerned about communication problems can purchase tickets without worrying. Please note that you will need to purchase both a ticket and a limited express ticket at the same time.

After purchasing our tickets, we headed to the platform at Rapi:t to board the train. The moment we boarded the train, I couldn't help but exclaim "Wow...! The moment I boarded the train, I couldn't help but sigh. The large round windows that characterize the train are a bit retro, but the whole interior of the train is new and very stylish. The seats have a lovely leopard print and are very comfortable!
So it's no wonder that it's become one of the most popular trains amongst South China Sea Electric Railway fans.

Looking out the window at the ever-changing scenery, we arrived at Nankai Railway Namba Station in no time.

What kind of neighborhood is Namba?

Namba is one of the main districts in Osaka, and is a bustling commercial area spanning the Chuo and Naniwa districts of Osaka City. It is home to such famous sights as Dotonbori, American Village, and the Namba Grand Flower Moon.
Kuromon Market is known as the "Kitchen of Osaka and Naniwa" and is a gourmet mecca. Not only do they sell fish, but there are also many restaurants selling takoyaki (octopus grilled on a stick) and yakitori (deep-fried skewers).

There are three stations in Namba: Namba Station (Osaka Subway Midosuji Line, Yotsubashi Line, and Nankai Line), JR Namba Station, and Osaka Namba Station (Kintetsu and Hanshin Lines). Although it is a bit complicated, Namba is about 7 minutes from Umeda Station and 30 minutes from Osaka Station by train, which means that it is easy to get to all the major stations in Osaka City. It is also very convenient for traveling to other areas.

Namba City “RIDERS FACT”

Let's start with Namba City! Both Namba City and Namba Parks are directly connected to Nankai Namba Station. This is a great way to avoid getting wet and cold when it's raining or cold .......

Then we headed to Namba Parks, where we were first greeted by the Village Vanguard, a store with a wide range of subculture products that are popular among young people. The limited space in the store is filled with manga and anime peripherals, weird and wonderful groceries, clothing and food. It's so much fun to look around and see all the personalized items!

Namba Parks “Kiwamitonkatsu Katsuki”

We were hungry and tired from shopping, so we came to Kiwamitonkatsu Katsuki for dinner.
We tasted tonkatsu made with Japanese brand pork! This time, I chose the "Kiwamitonkatsu Katsuki Platter".

This is a luxurious dish that includes not only large chunks of four-dollar pork tenderloin, but also deep-fried natural jumbo shrimp and shrimp cream coleslaw. All dishes are freshly fried and made with the finest quality fats and oils. They also come with glistening white rice, clam miso soup, potato salad, colorful vegetables and pickles for a satisfying meal!
