Blue Box Café by Natsuko Shoji, a Tiffany & Co. restaurant in Ginza, Tokyo, will offer a limited-edition Spring Afternoon Tea from April 1 to May 31, 2026. Created by celebrity chef Natsuko Shoji, the menu is a fusion of Japanese and French culinary techniques, inspired by Japan's unique springtime flavors, creating a feast for the senses, both visual and gustatory. The delicate and exquisite jewel-like artistry of each dessert tells the most touching face of spring in Japan.

Blue Box Café by Natsuko Shoji was born out of Tiffany's resonance of elegance, craftsmanship and ingenuity. Chef Natsuko Shoji, a former resident of France, is renowned for her French culinary heritage and deep understanding of Japanese ingredients. The afternoon tea menu is her latest effort to merge the traditions of Japan and France, with "Japanese Spring" as the central theme, and each dish carrying her unique interpretation of the season.
Taste of Spring - Poetic Presentation of Three Shelves
Each dish on the three-tiered platter is themed on a Japanese springtime landscape poem. First up is a delicate tart inspired by rapeseed blossoms and Hokkaido sweet shrimp, orange and green like a watercolor painting of an early spring field, followed by sweet and sour pickled cherries in vinegar from Japan's pickling culture, refreshing and richly layered. Pâté de campagne, a spring cabbage pie dyed with beet, is green and exudes the warmth of the countryside.
In addition, a small French raspberry-shaped mousse blossomed on the plate; a deep green matcha cheesecake covered with gold leaf was understatedly luxurious; and a tomato mousse vignette reinterpreted as a New York-style hot dog evoked a familiar yet surprisingly new sensation as it was savored.
In the center of the tart, strawberries and white strawberries are used to create the shape of peach petals, and underneath the tart is a hidden 桜 filling, which creates a perfect chord with the sweet and sour flavor of the strawberries. Each of these desserts is a delicate expression of Natsuko Shoji's love for spring.
Finale - Gold Krepszetter
The absolute star of the afternoon tea was the hot-baked Crêpe Suzette covered in golden Setoka citrus sauce. Setoka is an extremely sweet and rare Japanese citrus variety that is full of juice and aroma. When this warm dessert is paired with ice cream filled with vanilla pods, the moment it hits your mouth is like the first rays of sunshine on a winter's day, warm and inviting.
