The contrast between terror and cuteness is once again on display at Namba CITY
The fun of collaboration lies in the coexistence of two styles: on the one hand, the characters and scenes from Ito Jun'ichirō's works carry a sense of unease; on the other hand, it's the familiar world of Hello Kitty that is familiar to Sanrio. Those who enjoy manga can start with the character details; those who originally only collected Hello Kitty can also experience a different visual style. The most appealing aspect of these collaborations is the artwork that you really like, rather than just buying everything because it says "limited edition."
The venue will once again sell the popular Hello Kitty by Fu Jiang items from 2024; not all old items will be fully returned. If you missed a particular item last time, please go ahead.Special page for the joint flash storeCheck the product details to decide what to prioritize, and it will be easier to navigate.
Each purchase of 3,300 yen or more will receive one full set of 10 laser postcards.
When purchasing items at the flash store, you can receive 1 laser postcard for every 3,300 yen (tax included). The design is randomly provided from all 10 available options. If you want to buy multiple items, you can first estimate the total amount and the minimum purchase requirement; however, the gift is distributed randomly and cannot be considered a collectible that will be received for certain.
Paper gift items are suitable to be placed in a hard cover folder and then put into a bag. They are less likely to be damaged while shopping. Details regarding checkout and gift delivery are subject to the onsite instructions; if there are updates regarding admission or sales arrangements during the event, please check.Official X from YTEDon't assume that this time will be the same based on the purchasing rules of other events.
Getting to know Ito Junji: From "Fuji" to the Hall of Fame of International Comics Awards
Ito Junji was born on July 31, 1963 in Chitsukawa City, Gifu Prefecture. He attended the Dental Technology School and worked in the related field. In 1986, his work "Fukae" was selected as a finalist for the Utagi Prize, becoming his debut work and representative work; about three years later, he left his dental technology job to devote himself to manga creation. In addition to "Fukae," there are also "City Without Streets (Shonai-gai)", "Head Balloon (Shukihari-gai)", the "Shuichi" series, and "Love that Will Not Die (Lonely Love of the Dead)", and in 1998 he began serializing "Uzumaki" and later published "Gyo" and "Kutadama".
In 2019, he won the Eisner Award for Best Adapted Screenplay for the English version of "The Science of Us." In 2021, he won two more awards, and in 2022, he added another award. He has won a total of four awards. In 2023, he received the Special Honorary Award at the Ankhon International Comic Festival and the Inkpot Award at the San Diego Comic-Con. In 2025, he was inducted into the Eisner Award Hall of Fame. Even if you are not familiar with horror comics, if you know the background, you will be able to better understand the charm of the contrast when you watch him and Sanrio collaborate.
If you want to get to know the characters first, you can start with the animated selection.
The animated series "Ito Junji Mania: Japanese Horror Stories (Maniac)" adapts 20 chapters from his horror works, including themes such as Fureai, Shujin, and the Head Balloon. For those who plan to visit the fast-fashion store but are unfamiliar with the characters, they can first familiarize themselves with these works and then go to the store to choose the design. However, the level of acceptance for horror-themed items varies from person to person, and when accompanying children, it is also advisable to first check if the visual of the merchandise is suitable.
How should I plan my shopping trip to Namba?
