What is the Fireman's Dance Summer Festival?

The Hino Odori (ひょっとこ dance) is a traditional dance unique to the Miyazaki region, in which dancers wear masks with strange expressions and dance in a funny and cute way, symbolizing the expulsion of evil and the bringing of happiness. During the summer festival, more than a hundred dancers dance in the streets, and the local specialty food market, the Hyuga Furusato Bazaar, makes for a lively and fun atmosphere!

• The JR Kyushu Sightseeing Train "Kaikoyama Kou" runs on a limited schedule! Departure from Miyazaki City to Hyuga City
