9:00 Alum Hot Spring "Yunosato

The village of Alum Onsen is about a 7-minute walk west from the Intercontinental Hotel.
By bus, take a bus bound for Beppu Station West Exit or Beppu Station from the ANA Intercontinental Beppu-mae bus stop and go to the Jizo-yu-mae bus stop for 2 minutes.
In the small village on the mountain of Myoban Onsen, you can smell the odor of sulfur and the unique scenery of white steam.

At Meiban Yunohana, we produce Yunohana, an ancient Japanese bath preparation, and in addition to Yunohana, we sell cosmetics and local specialty products made from onsen ingredients.

Here we can see rows of triangular-shaped huts where "Yunohana" has been made since the Edo period (1603 ~ 1868) and is still being made today.

You can take a bath in the open-air bath or have a meal in the restaurant, which is a base for sightseeing in the Album Onsen area.

In addition, "Jigoku Steamed Pudding" produced and sold by Okamotoya, a long-established ryokan in the area, is one of the most popular desserts in Beppu. 11:00 Tekawa Onsen

Iron Wheel Hot Spring is located at the foot of Mt. It takes about 10 minutes by bus or cab.
By bus, take the "Beppu Station West Exit Row" bus from the "Jigyo-Yu-mae" bus stop at Meiran Onsen, and it takes about 7 minutes to get to the "Haiti Jigoku-mae" bus stop.

It is said that the former Iron Ring was a hellish land, inaccessible with hot springs and mud spewing out. Now it is safe to visit.
The “Jigoku Tour” is a classic Beppu sightseeing tour that takes you to the wonders of Jigoku.

It is also convenient to take a cab.
You don't have to go to all the hells at once, and you can take a lunch break in between.
In addition to the seven regular prisons, there are other prisons in the city, and there are many places to visit in Tetsunawa. There are prisons equipped with footbaths and prisons selling souvenirs, so it is recommended that you enjoy your time there.

Hell Steamer Iron Wheel

Beppu Onsen in Oita Prefecture is centered around eight hot spring villages known as "Beppu Hachiyu". Among them, Tetsunawa Onsen has the largest number of springs. Since the Edo period (1600s) (1603 ~ 1868), the "Jigoku Steam Cooking" method, which utilizes the hot steam from the hot springs, has been popular in Beppu cuisine. All you have to do is to put the ingredients into a so-called "Jigoku Steamer", which contains about 100 degrees of hot spring steam, and cover it with a lid. Tetsunawa Steam Bath, about a 3-minute walk from the Jigoku Steam Workshop Tetsunawa, is a sauna-style hot spring with a tatami-mat room of about 8 mats, where you can lie down on herbs heated by the hot spring. The second night of the hotel, introduce the sea view hotel by the sea.

Hot Springs Tips Tour Day 3

9:00 Beppu Beach Sand Bath

This is the third day of our trip, so if you are a little tired, walk 8 minutes south from Amane Resort Sekai to “Beppu Beach Sand Bath” and take a rest in the morning.
You can bury your body in the geothermally heated sand of the hot springs to make your body sweat. Sand baths are invigorating.
Put on a rented bathing suit and lie down on the beach while the staff covers your body with sand. After 15 minutes, your body will gradually warm up. Relax and unwind while listening to the sound of the waves.

12:00 Sweet Tea House

If you have time to have lunch in Beppu, we would like to introduce you to "Sweet Tea House" where you can taste the local cuisine of Oita Prefecture.
This is a popular restaurant that serves a variety of local dishes, local delicacies and sweet flavors of Oita Prefecture.
It takes about 10 minutes by taxi from the beach.

If you're eating at a sweet tea house, we recommend the "Maruko Sauce" set meal!
When it comes to "Maruko", it is generally a round and sweet Japanese confection made of rice flour or wheat flour.
However, in Oita's local cuisine, "Maruko" is a flat noodle made from wheat flour.
This "Maruko Sauce" made with miso-flavored broth is very popular and is a must-have dish.
By sprinkling soybean powder and sugar on the balls, "yaseumas" have long been a favorite sweet flavor.
You can enjoy both “Marmalade” and "Yase Uma" in the Marmalade Set Meal, and the price of 1,080 yen is very reasonable. 13:00 From Beppu Station to Fukuoka Airport

This is the end of the 3 days and 2 nights tour in Beppu.
Buses and trains returning to Fukuoka Airport are available near Beppu Station.
Buses to Beppu Station are available at the Beppu Sogakushasei Mae bus stop, which is about a minute's walk from the sweet tea store. However, since there is only one bus per hour, please check the time beforehand and make sure you don't miss it.
By taxi, it takes about 15 minutes to reach Beppu Station.
It takes about 2~3 hours from Beppu to Fukuoka Airport. Please make sure you don't arrive late and have a safe trip.
