Day3: Delving into the beauty of Toyama

National Treasure: Seiryu Temple

It is a 20-minute walk from the hotel and 5-7 minutes by car.

Seiryu-ji Temple is the Bodhi Temple of Toshinaga Maeda, the 2nd lord of Kaga Clan, the founder of Takaoka, and is also a famous temple of Caodong Sect. In 1997, the main gate, the Buddha Hall and the Dharma Hall were designated as national treasures. The main gate, Zendo, Daikuri, Ochado, and three cloisters were also designated as important cultural properties, and are highly regarded as Zen temple buildings from the early Edo period. Let's take a tour of Japan's national treasures.

This time, we invited the abbot of Seiryu-ji Temple to tell the story of Seiryu-ji Temple. He told us the story of why Toshinaga Maeda, a famous person in Japanese history, who was against the Tokugawa regime, built this temple, and what kind of craftsmen were involved in the construction of the temple. Listening to the abbot's speech, I felt that the history of several hundred years ago was revived right before my eyes. I was particularly touched by the fact that the average height of Japanese people at that time was only about 160cm, and the view from this height was particularly beautiful.

The beauty of the rainy coast

Traffic:
Take JR Himi Line from Takaoka Station and get off at Amagaru Station in 20 minutes. By car, it takes 20 minutes.

Amaru Coast is a coast located in the northern part of Takaoka City, Toyama Prefecture. It is a part of Noto Peninsula National Park and is selected as one of the top 100 places in Japan. On a good day, you can see the Tateyama mountain range of 3,000 meters above sea level across Toyama Bay, and it is very popular as a sightseeing spot. In the winter, numerous photographers come with their guns to see the "kiran" phenomenon of steam from the Sea of Japan. Especially on New Year's Day, many people gather here to see the first sunrise of the year.

Yuharu Michi-no-Eki

I was touched to see such a fashionable Michi-no-Eki station, where I could see the whole coast of Amagasaki. I had my breakfast here. There is a coffee shop here, so I could enjoy the relaxing time, and many people were enjoying the beautiful scenery. The view is so beautiful, I'm thinking of moving to the neighborhood.

Fill your stomach with cute muffins and drinks. Girls love sweet and cute things. The specialty store in the deep end has a wide variety of products. There are local sweets, souvenirs, and posters, but the most attractive items are the tin crafts.

It's so kawaii...my wallet is going to cry. The coast is right in front of us, so after coffee and specialties, let's go to the coast and have a look around!

Seeing such a wide ocean made me feel high... I think I'm hungry again... I'd like to have another muffin from earlier!

Lunch: Günther Wave (sushi)

The sushi is famous in the area for its high price, and the flavor is not compromised. Most of the ingredients for the sushi are purchased at markets in the prefecture, and there are many rare ingredients that can't be found in Tokyo!

Gourmets always spend a lot of money on the pursuit of the human flavor. This class of sushi in Tokyo to find a famous restaurant to eat, 20,000 or 30,000 yen does not necessarily hit the ...... However, I only spent 3000 yen on this meal, finished.......in the future the general sushi can not be eaten.

Shiminato Fishing Harbor has two unloadings of seafood in the morning and at noon, as well as two auctions in the early morning and one in the afternoon. The sushi chef at Naniwa Sushi has an excellent eye for selecting seafood. The ingredients are purchased and quickly prepared, and the sushi is made with the freshest ingredients.

Shinchin's Lunchtime Auction

Move:
10-minute walk from Higashi-Shinminato Station on the Manha Line

The crimson colored crabs are neatly arranged like a spectacular work of art. As I mentioned in the introduction of Naniwa Sushi, the Shiminato Fishing Harbor is different from other fish markets in that, in addition to the early morning auction, there is also a lunchtime auction at 1:00 p.m. The crabs are freshly caught on the day they are caught. The fish caught on that day are very fresh. Water from the Sho River, the Oyabe River, the Hakusan mountain system and the Hida Mountains is continuously pumped into the sea of Shiminato, and various minerals from the mountains and nutrients from the native forests are pumped into the sea in large quantities.

These are the nutrients that nourish the seafood of Shinnojo. The fishermen preserve this rich natural environment and maintain the important fishery resources that allow for such fresh and flavorful aquatic products. Be sure to check out the bustling lunchtime market!

Doraemon and Takaoka

Doraemon Road Tram

Takaoka City, Toyama Prefecture, is where Fujiko F. Fujio, the author of Doraemon, was born and spent his teenage years. On the blue body, a red bowtie and a yellow bell are painted to represent Doraemon. The windows are decorated with line drawings of the characters that appear in the animation. Doraemon's face is painted on the front and rear windshields. The doors of the car are in the style of a random door, and by entering the pink door, passengers enter the world of Doraemon. No matter how old you are, Doraemon is an old favorite in our hearts.

Not only can you learn more about the teacher's life, but you can also get a closer look at the unique worldview of the work. Everyone who loves Doraemon should not miss it.

With this bag in hand, the teacher traveled to Tokyo alone. Inside the small bag are dreams and hopes. Both children and adults can find their happy memories here.

Specialties to buy

Toyama Prefecture is best known for its fishery products, but due to food hygiene and safety and immigration issues, it's not easy to bring fresh food back to the country. However, there are still many good things to bring back to Toyama as souvenirs!

For example, Japanese sake and handicrafts are relatively easy to bring back. If you didn't get enough shopping on the first few days of your trip, don't be in a hurry. There are duty-free stores and specialty stores at Toyama Airport.

To Toyama Airport

There are so many duty-free products in front of me, so I can't help but buy them! The specialties are all very unique, and there are so many different kinds of gifts, I'm afraid of choosing...
On a clear day, you can see the Tateyama mountain range on the roof of the airport.

The cold, clear air makes the scenery even more spectacular. Be sure to come to the roof for a last look!

Toyama Airport's Grade B Gourmet Food: Toyama Kuro~

Toyama Kurobuta Ramen was awarded V5 grade at the Tokyo Ramen Show, the largest ramen festival in Japan. The black soy sauce may look salty, but it is actually very light. The noodles are rich and flavorful, and the barbecued pork melts in your mouth, making it a great way to end your trip. Be sure to try the black ramen, a Toyama specialty!

Specialty stores at the airport: you can buy Doraemon here too!

This is a collaborative product with the Manjusen that I drank on the first day.

After passing through the check-in counter, you will see the duty free store! Shiseido, electronics, tobacco and alcohol are all available. If you buy souvenirs too early, it will add weight to your luggage, so buy them at the airport on the last day!

Toyama Prefecture is not that big, so you can make a trip there in 3 days. It's also easy to get to from the mainland, so it's perfect for a long vacation. If you've already been to Tokyo and Osaka and want to go to a smaller place where you won't be surrounded by waves of domestic tourists, then Toyama is definitely the place for you! It's a great place to visit!
