If you're a baseball fan or simply interested in Japanese sports culture, there's a special exhibition in Nagoya in spring 2026 that's worth seeing in person. A free exhibition, "Shohei Otani's Legendary Collection," featuring a number of valuable items related to his iconic games, will be held at the Aeon Dream Mall Nagoya Dome (イオンモールナゴヤドーム前), a mega-mall located in Nagoya.

The exhibition was held at the museum's facility, Baseball Field to Future, and featured three items of historical significance from the collection, including record-setting game jerseys and milestone-setting home run balls. With an overall value of approximately 240 million yen, the collection is one of the highest-ranking Shohei Otani collections in Japan.

Three Focus Collections: Witnessing Shohei Otani's Historical Moments

The game jersey that set the record for the most home runs by a Japanese.

The first exhibit is the game jersey worn by Shohei Otani in May 2024 when he hit his 50th home run, setting a new record for the most home runs by a Japanese player. The jersey is also autographed by Shohei Otani, making it a memorable item for collectors and fans alike.

50/50 Record Night Home Run No. 51

Another important exhibit is Shohei Ohtani's 51st home run ball from the 50/50 game that made history. The ball symbolizes the final blow of the historic game and allows fans to look back on what has become a legendary night.

All-time game ball with 10 strikeouts and 3 home runs

The exhibit will also feature the last home run ball hit by Shohei Ohtani in a classic 2025 game when he accomplished the feat of "10 Strikeouts + 3 Home Runs". The ball was the No. 3 home run in the National League Championship Series (NLCS), symbolizing the pinnacle of pitching and hitting.
