Enjoy shopping in Osaka at Namba Parks!

在「難波PARKS」享受大阪的購物樂趣!

Namba is one of the most representative and famous bustling neighborhoods in Osaka Prefecture. It is one of the most famous and bustling streets in Osaka Prefecture, and many people include it in their itinerary as one of the classic routes in their Osaka trip. Namba Parks is a shopping center directly connected to Namba Station, where you can enjoy the beautiful rooftop parks and sumo wrestling shows that are often posted on SNS!

Of course, there are many other places to visit, such as grocery stores where you can find souvenirs and places to eat.

In this issue, we'll introduce you to some of the recommended stores, gourmet foods for dining and relaxing, and must-see spots if you're visiting Namba Parks!

What kind of a neighborhood is Namba?

Osaka has two main busy districts, the so-called “Kita-ku” and "Minami-ku". The most representative of the "Southern District" are Namba, Shinsaibashi and Dotonbori. The area is full of "Osaka's symbolic landmarks," including the Glico billboards on Ebisu Bridge and the shopping malls that combine gourmet food with shopping, and is filled with a vibrant mix of domestic and foreign tourists every day.

In the Namba area, where Namba Parks is located, there are many other attractions worth visiting, such as Namba Ohanagi, Namba City, and Namba Pedestrian Street, which are perfect for traveling!

The area is easily accessible by train. From Shin-Osaka Station, which is served by the Shinkansen, take the Osaka Subway Midosuji Line to Namba Station in about 15 minutes. If you are traveling from Osaka-Umeda, you can reach Namba Station in about 10 minutes from Umeda Station, also on the Osaka Subway Midosuji Line.

There are three stations in the Namba area: Namba Station (Osaka Subway Midosuji Line, Yotsubashi Line, Nankai Line), JR Namba Station, and Osaka Namba Station (Kintetsu Line, Hanshin Line). Each station is served by a number of routes, which makes traveling to and from Namba from any part of Osaka very convenient, albeit a bit complicated, and is one of the highlights of the area.

If you are traveling directly from Kansai International Airport, you can take the Nankai Electric Railway Limited Express Rapi:t from Kansai Airport Station.
It takes about an hour to get there (the total fare is 1,450 yen, including a ticket and a limited express ticket).

Kiwamitonkatsu Katsuki

After all that shopping, you're bound to get hungry. Head over to the 6th floor's food and beverage level, where you'll find a wide variety of delicious restaurants to choose from.

I want to try every one of them... This time we recommend Kiwami Tonkatsu Katsuki, a specialty store whose pork cutlets are deep-fried using Japan's own branded pork.

At this restaurant, you can savor the tender and juicy Japanese “tonkatsu”, which is not only offered as a 3cm thick thick thick cut pork loin, but also as a tonkatsu set meal made with “yuyuan pork”, which is characterized by tenderness and marbling of the meat. The specialties of “Four Dollar Pork" are the tenderness of the meat and the marbling of the meat. You must come here to experience the specialty of this restaurant.
