\nFrom Fukuoka Airport, you can go to Hakata Station and change to Shinkansen at Hakata Station and arrive at Kokura Station in about 40 minutes.<\/span>It was there in the blink of an eye.

Located in the north district of Kokura, Ginten Street in Uomachi was established in 1951 and is famous for being one of the first arcade shopping streets in Japan.<\/span>Conveniently located within an 8-minute walk from JR Kokura Station.<\/span>There are more than 150 stores, ranging from restaurants and boutiques to grocery stores and beauty stores.<\/span>If you're planning to visit Kokura, make sure to stop by Uomachi Ginten Street first.<\/span>There are plenty of grab-and-go restaurants and popular izakaya (Japanese-style pubs) where you can enjoy not only lunch, but also a drink in the evening.<\/span><\/span>

\nShiroya Bakery Kokura is one of the most popular restaurants in the world and is often seen in the media.<\/span>This is a sweet French bakery, made by adding a lot of condensed milk to French bread.<\/span>Because the prices are also very affordable, most locals buy in bulk.

The Tanjo Market in the center of Kokura City is called \u201cKitakyushu's Kitchen\u201d and offers a wide variety of seafood and vegetables.<\/span>The market is a maze of old stores and buildings, with a maze-like atmosphere full of unusual and fun things to do!<\/span>There are so many fascinating stores that it can be hard to decide where to start, but I recommend Kokura Fish Cake, founded in 1920, a popular store that sells 2,000 copies of their signature \u201ccanape\u201d in a single day to a long queue.

Another not-to-be-missed attraction is the Dalian Friendship Memorial Hall, built to commemorate the 15th anniversary of the friendship city agreement between Kitakyushu and Dalian, China.<\/span>The building is modeled after a famous Dalian building, with a beautiful exterior made of a combination of brick and stone.
