The Koraba Residence in the park is the oldest surviving timber house in Japan. It was purchased by the Mitsubishi Shipping Corporation in 1939 and donated to the city in 1957. In 1961, it was listed as a \"National Important Cultural Asset\", and there is a statue of Miura Hiromi, who played the role of Madame Butterfly, in the park.
