The winter-themed Hello Kitty event at Taihebi will be held in November! Experience 5-meter Christmas tree, meet-and-greet, and themed coffee at one place
If you’re planning a trip to Tokyo in winter and want to add a relaxing indoor activity to your night tour of Roppongi Hills, Aqua City Odaiba will be open from November 13 to December 25.Tokyo Big Sight Aqua City Christmas Party (Aqua City Odaiba Christmas Party)This time, in collaboration with Rilakkuma, everything from the 5-meter-tall themed Christmas tree and photo booth to the stamp collecting activities is centered within the mall. After visiting, you can then head to the seaside park, DiverCity, or the seaside of Taiheiban to see the Rainbow Bridge; it is especially suitable for those who want to add afternoon to evening activities after the weather turns cold.
For the 5-meter Santa tree, please reserve the time for taking photos on the 3rd floor first.
The main activity venue is located on the 3rd floor of Aqua Arena. There will be a Christmas tree decorated with a Hello Kitty and strawberry motif about 5 meters high, as well as large character installations and selfie panels with holes in the face. The advantage of this mall-style collaboration activity is that you don’t need to buy tickets to complete a festive photo shoot indoors; you can stroll through the mall in the middle of the day and take photos in the evening, then head to Tokyo Bay Park after dark to watch the night view; the rhythm is very natural.
An opening event will take place on November 14 at 12:00. Lala Bear and Little Bear (Korilakuma) will be present at the venue. There will also be meet-and-greet sessions on the same day at 14:00 and 16:00, with a limit of 40 groups per session. For those who want to take photos up close, please check the details on the dedicated page regarding the draw tickets. If you just want to take photos of the trees and installations, avoiding the peak hours in the afternoon on weekends will be more relaxing.
How do I get the commemorative stamp, dining discounts, and limited-time gifts?
The museum has four collection points where you can complete the stamping collection activity from November 13 to December 25. After completing the collection, you can redeem a special activity sticker. The number of stickers is limited to 250 per weekday and 500 on weekends and national holidays. The collection points are located on the 1st, 3rd, and 5th floors, making it convenient to connect the restaurant, shopping, and photo-taking spots into a single flow. The stickers have a limited-time design; those who want to collect them should not wait until the museum closes to start.
From November 13 to December 3, for a total purchase of 3,000 yen at designated dining establishments, you can receive a character stamp pendant in a sequential order; from December 4 to 25, for a purchase of 3,000 yen at designated retail and service stores, you can redeem a limited lunch tote bag. Both activities require presenting a receipt at the 3rd floor counter, and the number of available items is limited daily. Some coffee shops, fast food restaurants, movie theaters, and duty-free counters are not included; please check the store list first before checkout for the most secure option.
The collaboration coffee starting from November 25 is perfect as a break point on your trip to Tokyo.
The R.O.STAR Seaside Terrace on the 5th floor will launch a collaboration coffee from November 25 to December 25. The menu is inspired by Hello Kitty, Hello Kitty Bear, Yellow Bird (Kiroito Ritsu), and Tea Bear (Chairoi Koguma), featuring sandwiches, chicken rice, desserts, and themed drinks. Seating is on a 75-minute rotation system with priority reservations. If you encounter a weekend or evening time slot, booking in advance will be more efficient than waiting in line.
If you don't want to completely rely on a restaurant for your meal, you can also start with a meal at a shopping mall first, then order drinks or desserts. The locations in Tainan are scattered, so arranging a place to rest indoors is important; sit down before walking from the mall to the beach so you can avoid the windy evening hours.
How to arrange a half-day trip to Itabashi?
You can get to Odaiba by taking the Hibiya Maruyamihouse Line or by taking a bus from the Tokyo Station area. We recommend starting your afternoon at Aqua City to see the installations and collect stamps, then visit DiverCity, teamLab Planets, or Odaiba Seaside Park; return to the mall for dinner, and finally enjoy the night view from the Rainbow Bridge. For families with children, you can combine this with nearby indoor facilities; for couples or friends traveling together, it’s a great way to combine photography, coffee, and the night view into a relaxing itinerary.
