Osaka Honmachi CITRUS JOURNEY is now open! Citrus shipped directly from Kochi and Shikoku, stopping by for a drink from morning till night
A citrus-themed café, perfect for resting during a trip, has opened in Honmachi, Osaka. With the theme of "travel,"CITRUS JOURNEYappeared inJuly 23, 2026Opening near Osaka Metro Honmachi Station, the shop uses domestic Japanese citrus fruits shipped directly from farms in Kochi Prefecture and Shikoku. It makes full use of them from juice and pulp to peel, creating drinks, desserts, and light meals. This approach makes citrus not just a sweet and sour supporting player, but the theme of the entire shop.
As of August 20, 2026, this shop is already open for business and is not a new future location. For Taiwanese travelers, Honmachi has a very convenient location: situated between Umeda, Shinsaibashi, and Namba, it makes a great quiet pit stop during the day when exploring downtown Osaka or running business and exhibition errands.

About 1 minute walk from Honmachi Station, a mini citrus getaway in the city
CITRUS JOURNEY is located at 3-5-6 Honmachi, Chuo-ku, Osaka City, about a 1-minute walk from Honmachi Station on the Osaka Metro Midosuji, Chuo, and Yotsubashi lines. This area is one of Osaka's representative business districts with fast-paced foot traffic during the day. The shop positions itself as an urban blank space where people can temporarily pause, allowing them to find a moment of unhurried time amidst the bustling business and shopping routes.
The JOURNEY in the store name is not just decorative; it incorporates the "people," "history," and "memories" behind a drink into the experience. The store presents different atmospheres across three floors, paired with distinct jazz music and scent designs for morning, afternoon, and evening, transforming the act of drinking a beverage from mere thirst-quenching into a journey that temporarily departs from daily life.
Citrus fruit shipped directly from Kochi and Shikoku, allowing you to experience everything from the place of origin and history to the aroma.
In-store, we use seasonal domestic citrus fruits shipped directly from farmers in Shikoku, including Kochi Prefecture. The first layer, "Journey," represents the trip from the origin to the city: sun-ripened fruits are delivered to Osaka and ultimately become a drink in the customer's hand. With citrus juices that change monthly, this is perfect for those who want to taste the feeling of the season.
The second layer is a journey through Japanese citrus culture. Japan features a diverse variety of citrus fruits such as mikan, yuzu, konatsu, buntan, and kawachi bankan, each with its own origin story and aromatic profile. The third layer is a journey of memory; citrus scents easily evoke childhood fruits, travel scenery, or a certain afternoon time. If you usually enjoy Taiwan's pomelos, oranges, and kumquats, coming here will make it easy to compare the subtle differences of Japanese citrus using familiar tastes.
Each of the three floors has its own ambiance, and the desserts and light meals are more than just supporting roles.
The first floor of the shop features a black color scheme with the imagery of a Nordic train station; the second floor feels like stepping into a European café, making it suitable for staying a bit longer; and the third floor has an antique feel and a jazz bar atmosphere, complete with a separated smoking area. Spanning about 80 pings with 60 seats, the entire shop is also equipped with restrooms, which is very practical for travelers who need to freshen up their makeup and hair before continuing their journey.
The menu development is supervised by French chefs and pastry chefs with experience in famous restaurants. Instead of relying on commercially prepared frozen foods, ingredients are carefully prepared in a central kitchen and then finished in the store with fresh materials. The menu includes items such as sandwiches made with three types of bread from a partner bakery, and lemon and bergamot chocolate cake, making it suitable for breakfast, afternoon tea, or a light meal before a simple dinner.
